Al Ahly Rejects Huge European Bid for Imam Ashour
Ahmad Shobair has revealed that Al Ahly star Imam Ashour has received a tempting offer from one of the major European clubs to join their ranks, while also indicating the player's stance regarding this offer.
In statements made during his radio program, Shobir said: "Imam Ashour received an offer from a Turkish club, which reached $3 million, and it could have gone up to $4 or $5 million, but Al Ahly completely rejected it."
He added: "Al Ahly is in a strong position, especially since the player has two years left on his contract with the club. It was a good move from the club to assure the player that they need and value him. On the other hand, Imam Ashour's family prefers him to stay in Egypt, especially since his previous experience in Denmark was not successful."
Imam Ashour continues to lead Al Ahly's midfield, preferring local stability and significant fan support over a new European adventure, reaffirming that the Red Giants will not part with their key pillars.
