Ajax Officially Signs Ter Stegen

Ajax Amsterdam announced this morning, Tuesday, the official signing of German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen from Barcelona, on loan until the end of the 2026-2027 season.

Marc-André ter Stegen has had a remarkable career, starting his professional journey with Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he made 127 appearances over three and a half seasons.

The German goalkeeper joined Barcelona in the summer of 2014, where he played 423 matches in the Catalan club's colors, winning several titles, most notably the UEFA Champions League and seven La Liga titles.

Marc-André ter Stegen, who has played 44 matches for his national team, spent the second half of last season on loan at Girona, under the management of Michel Sanchez.

Jordi Cruyff, Ajax's sporting director, expressed his happiness at finalizing the deal, stating: "Marc has a proven track record of success, and his potential is well-known to everyone. He will be an immediate addition to the team. I have had a good relationship with him for years, and I look forward to working with him again. We have worked hard for a long time to complete this deal, and we are extremely happy with his signing and joining the team to start his journey with us."
