Zamalek has received another legal blow after FIFA ruled in favor of its former Moroccan player Abdelhamid Malali regarding his outstanding payments. The ruling obliges the club's management to settle the overdue amounts owed to the player, who had left the team citing his legal right to unilaterally terminate his contract due to unpaid wages.

FIFA has granted Zamalek a 45-day period to settle the dues of Abdul Hamid Maali, to avoid any decision that could lead to the club facing transfer bans until the player's payments are made.

Abdelhamid Malali has previously caused Zamalek to face a transfer ban for two consecutive periods due to outstanding payments to his former club, Moroccan side Ittihad Tangier. Zamalek signed the player for $500,000, but the Moroccan club turned to FIFA with two separate complaints to recover the remaining amount of the transfer fee, and rulings were issued in their favor in both cases.

FIFA's decision comes as part of a series of issues that Egyptian clubs are following up with the international federation, as part of the clubs' commitment to settle financial dues in accordance with the regulations governing world football.
