CAF Sets Date for Champions League and Confederation Cup Draws

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the date for the draw of the preliminary round of the African Champions League and the African Confederation Cup.

On Thursday, August 6, the draw for the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup for the upcoming season will be held at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football in Cairo. Egypt will be represented by Zamalek and Pyramids in the Champions League, while Al Ahly and ZED will compete in the Confederation Cup.

The Confederation Cup draw will begin at 2 PM Cairo time, followed by the African Champions League draw at 3 PM, marking the kickoff for the clubs participating in both competitions.

The African Football Confederation has allocated a financial reward of $6 million for the winner of the Champions League, while the Confederation Cup champion will receive $4 million. Additionally, CAF has designated $100,000 for each club participating in the preliminary rounds as part of its plan to support clubs in continental competitions and enhance their competitiveness.
