Chelsea Signs Valentin Barco on Contract Until 2033
Chelsea Football Club has officially confirmed the signing of Argentine player Valentin Barco from French side Strasbourg during the current summer transfer window.
Barco, 21, has signed a contract with Chelsea that runs until 2033, and he will join the team's training during the pre-season under coach Xabi Alonso.
Barco began his professional career with Argentine club Boca Juniors, making his first-team debut at the age of 16, before moving to England in 2024 to join Brighton.
During his time in England, Parco had loan spells with Sevilla and Strasbourg, before making a permanent move to the French club, where he excelled in the 2024-2025 season and contributed to Strasbourg's qualification for European competitions.
The Argentine player had a remarkable season with Strasbourg, contributing to 12 goals in 43 matches across all competitions last season, earning a place in Argentina's squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Barco has now accumulated 5 international caps with the Argentine national team.
