Hussein Hassan on Erbil's Radar, Release Clause the Only Hurdle

Hussein Hassan, the goalkeeper of Al-Zawraa, was on the bench during the friendly match between Al-Erbil and Al-Talaba yesterday at the Francois Hariri Stadium in Erbil, which ended with a 2-1 victory for the home side.

Sources close to the situation have revealed that Hussein Hassan is very close to transferring to Erbil FC during the current transfer window.

Sources have indicated that the only remaining step to finalize the transfer is the activation of the release clause in the player's contract with Al-Zawraa, estimated at *80 million Iraqi dinars*.

According to the details, Erbil management is required to transfer this amount to Al-Nawras in order to officially terminate the contract. After that, the goalkeeper will be able to sign definitively and join the training sessions of the Erbil team.

Arbil is looking for a distinguished goalkeeper to bolster their goalkeeping position ahead of the start of the Iraqi Stars League. The coaching staff sees Hussein Hassan as a suitable option given his record with Al-Zawraa and the national team.

The goalkeeper has recently missed out on a starting role with Al-Zawraa, which has opened the door for his desire to pursue a new experience where he can gain more playing time.

Al-Zawraa's management has not issued any official statement yet, but they require the full payment of the release clause before agreeing to the player's departure.
