Camavinga's Decline Increases Real Madrid's Need for Rodri

Spanish journalist Fermín Rodríguez has shed light on the decline of French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga at Real Madrid, emphasizing that the royal team is in need of a player with the qualities of Manchester City's Rodri to restore balance in midfield in the upcoming phase.

During his appearance on the "Tiempo de Juego" program, Rodriguez explained that Camavinga is no longer delivering the performances he showcased at the beginning of his time with Real Madrid, noting that the player has lost some of his influence within the team, which has opened the door for speculation about his future.

Spanish journalist stated: "Camavinga's form has declined," adding that the immense talent of the French player is no longer reflected in his performances as expected, following a drop in his presence in midfield compared to previous seasons.

Rodriguez attributed this decline to a lack of technical stability, explaining that Camavinga has played in several positions since joining Real Madrid, including left-back, which has hindered his ability to establish himself in his primary role as a midfielder.

Despite the criticism, it was emphasized that the player still possesses great potential, and his young age gives him the opportunity to regain his best form in the upcoming seasons.

In this context, Rodriguez stated that Real Madrid has not yet succeeded in compensating for the void left by Toni Kroos's departure, emphasizing that Rodri is the best option to lead the midfield due to his ability to organize play and maintain balance within the team.

He said: "Rodri is a perfect fit for Real Madrid, as he is the only piece missing from the team."

Jose Mourinho is well aware of this need, emphasizing the importance of signing a player with Rodri's characteristics. He also noted that Mourinho has greater influence over transfer dealings compared to previous coaches like Carlo Ancelotti, Xabi Alonso, and Álvaro Arbeloa.

Rodriguez concluded his remarks by asserting that Real Madrid needs a player capable of dictating the tempo in midfield and organizing the performance, considering that Frenchman Aurélien Tchouaméni does not possess the same technical qualities that define Rodri.
