Egyptian Football Association Appoints Essam Abdel Fattah as Referees Committee Head

The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Football Association has decided to appoint Essam Abdel Fattah as the head of the main Referees Committee. The new committee will manage and organize all refereeing affairs and decisions related to local tournaments and competitions in the upcoming period.

The Egyptian Football Association stated in a post on its Facebook page: "The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Football Association has approved the formation of the main referees committee, chaired by Captain Essam Abdel Fattah."

He added: "The membership of Captain Gamal El-Ghandour as Vice President of the committee, and Captain Samir Othman as Vice President of the committee as well, has been approved, alongside Captain Wajih Ahmed and Captain Mahmoud Ashour as members."

The association stated: "The board has also decided to complete the formation of the referees' technical committee and the referees' academy in the upcoming period, as part of the federation's plan to develop the refereeing system and improve the technical and administrative performance of referees, while training new cadres according to the best international standards, which will positively reflect on Egyptian football competitions."
