Marcelino Set to Take Over at Al Ahli

Spanish coach Marcelino García Toral is close to taking over at Al Ahli Saudi, as negotiations with the club's management have reached advanced stages in preparation for the official announcement of the contract.

Reports have confirmed that both parties have reached a near-final agreement, with only a few final procedures remaining before the deal is officially announced.

The Spanish coach is set to embark on a new journey in the Saudi Pro League, taking over from German Matthias Jaissle, who has been linked with a departure from the team during this period.

Marcelino comes to the coaching market after the end of his journey with Villarreal last May, making him available for a new coaching stint.

The 60-year-old coach has an extensive career in Spanish football, having managed prominent clubs including Valencia, Sevilla, Athletic Bilbao, Real Zaragoza, Racing Santander, and Villarreal.

Marcelino had an experience outside of Spain when he took over the managerial role at Olympique Marseille in France, before returning once again to La Liga.

Al Ahly fans are eagerly anticipating the official announcement regarding the new signing, with hopes that the Spanish coach will lead the team to continue competing for domestic and continental titles in the upcoming season.
