Napoli Considering Involving Matias Oliveira in Federico Gatti Deal
Napoli is exploring the option of including Uruguayan full-back Matias Oliveira in a potential deal to sign Juventus defender Federico Gatti during the summer transfer window, as the southern club aims to strengthen its defense ahead of the new season.
According to journalist Manuele Baiocchini via Sky Sport Italia, the idea of a swap deal has been proposed that would see Gatti move to Napoli in exchange for Oliveira. However, the proposal is still in the study phase and has not yet turned into final negotiations between the two clubs.
The report indicated that Napoli still considers Gatti one of its top defensive targets, but completing the deal may depend on the club's ability to sell one of its players in the coming days to generate the necessary financial liquidity, with the option of a swap deal remaining one of the scenarios on the table.
Currently, there is no official agreement between Napoli and Juventus, nor has there been any announcement from either club regarding the transfer. Reports confirm that Napoli's interest in signing Gatti is genuine, while the inclusion of Oliveira remains a part of a proposed idea under discussion and is not a finalized agreement yet.
