Khalid Al-Ghamdi Officially Runs for Saudi Football Federation Presidency
Khalid Al-Ghamdi has officially submitted his candidacy for the presidency of the Saudi Football Federation, beginning his competition for the position following the resignation of Yasser Al-Mashel in the upcoming elections.
Al-Ghamdi arrived at the Saudi Football Federation headquarters accompanied by Saud Al-Sebai, who is expected to be part of his electoral list, to finalize the procedures related to the nomination file.
Al Ahly Club has recently accepted the resignation of Khalid Al-Ghamdi from the chairmanship of the board of directors, expressing gratitude for the time he spent in his position.
Al-Ghamdi's decision to run comes after Yasser Al-Mashel announced his departure from the presidency of the Saudi Football Federation, following the Saudi national team's exit from the 2026 World Cup.
The Saudi sports community is eagerly anticipating the upcoming phase, as preparations begin for the elections that will determine the identity of the new president of the federation and its board for the forthcoming period.
