The English Football Association has issued an official statement announcing sanctions against Chelsea due to violations related to player agent regulations, working with intermediaries, and third-party investment rules in players.

The statement clarified that the current owners of the club voluntarily informed the FA about the violations after acquiring Chelsea, leading to 74 charges against the club for breaching Article E1.2 of the regulations, while investigations into the responsibility of individuals connected to the case are still ongoing.

Chelsea has acknowledged all 74 violations ahead of the hearing, leading the independent regulatory committee to impose a £10 million fine, along with a six-point deduction from the team's total. The execution of the penalty has been suspended until June 30, 2027.

The club has appealed the decision to deduct points, and the independent appeals board has accepted the challenge, overturning the points penalty. Instead, the club will face a ban on registering players during two consecutive transfer windows, with the implementation of the sanction suspended until June 30, 2027.

The English Football Association has confirmed that the £10 million fine will not be appealed, and the entire amount will be allocated to support and develop grassroots football in England.
