No Delay for Al Ahly's League Match Amid Barcelona Friendly

The newspaper "Youm7" has revealed the truth behind the postponement of Al Ahly's match in the first round of the Premier League, which was rumored due to the red team's friendly against Barcelona on August 19 as part of the Joan Gamper Trophy.

Al Ahly is gearing up to face Barcelona in Spain, in a match that carries a special significance, especially as it will be the first appearance of an Arab team in the Joan Gamper Trophy since its format change in 1997.

According to the newspaper, despite the proximity of Barcelona's match to the start of the Egyptian Premier League on August 21, there is no intention within the clubs' association to postpone Al Ahly's match in the first round of the competition.

The opening matches of the Egyptian Premier League will be held over three days, providing Al Ahly the opportunity to play on the final day to avoid fatigue after their trip to Spain.

The draw for the Egyptian Premier League will be held on August 5, in preparation for the competition that will see the participation of 20 teams.
