Real Madrid has suffered another setback ahead of their friendly match against Fiorentina, as young defender Dean Houseman has been ruled out of the squad due to injury.

Journalist Arancha Rodriguez has revealed that Housein is suffering from a minor muscle injury in his right leg, confirming that the injury is not serious. However, the coaching staff opted not to take any risks with the player, allowing him to remain in the Spanish capital, Madrid, to continue his treatment and rehabilitation program.

Real Madrid is gearing up for their first friendly match under the guidance of coach José Mourinho, as they face Fiorentina on Saturday evening in Austria. The Portuguese manager aims to assess his players' readiness and experiment with several new elements.

The Royal team has played two closed-door friendlies against Alcorcón and Leganés, before starting a series of open friendly matches with a clash against Fiorentina, which will mark the first real test of Mourinho's project with Real Madrid.

House's injury comes just days after the announcement of Raul Asensio's injury, which will keep him out for six weeks, as well as the injury to young Thiago Pietarich, who may be sidelined for up to seven weeks.
