Al Ahly's Stance on Signing Ali Youssef from Nantes

Media personality Amir Hisham has revealed Al Ahly's position regarding the potential signing of Libyan defender Ali Youssef from French club Nantes during the current summer transfer window.

In his program Modern Sports aired on Modern MTI channel, he stated: "Al Ahly is not interested in strengthening the defense with foreign players; they are currently looking for local players or a player who can be counted as local, but there are no Palestinian players in the considerations at the moment."

He added: "Al Ahly is looking for a local defender who can join the team and bolster its ranks... and they have not yet negotiated for the signing of Libyan Ali Youssef from Nantes."

The file on Mohamed Abdelmonem, the defender from Nice, is currently closed. There was some initial interest in him, but the player wants to remain with his team for now. He previously surprised Al Ahly officials by requesting an astronomical fee of $3 million.
