Official: Real Madrid Signs Carlos Espi
Real Madrid has officially announced that they have reached an agreement with Levante for the transfer of Spanish forward Carlos Espi to the team, with a contract lasting five years until June 30, 2031, making him the latest addition to the club during the summer transfer window.
Carlos Espey is 21 years old and has delivered impressive performances with Levante over the past three seasons, having played 66 matches for the team and scored 20 goals, making him one of the most promising talents in Spanish football.
The young forward has caught attention after winning the Best Under-23 Player award in the league last season, a feat that heightened Real Madrid's interest in securing his services, before officially finalizing the deal.
Espi also has international experience with Spain's youth teams, having previously represented the U19 and U20 national teams. Real Madrid hopes he will continue to develop within the club over the coming years, becoming one of the promising names in the team's future project.
The deal cost Real Madrid's coffers €25 million, which is the release clause in the player's contract, noting that he will join the team to compensate for the departure of Gonzalo Garcia to Fulham.
