Mansour Bakar: Al Ahly is a great club and I'm honored to join
New Al Ahly striker Moncef Bakar has explained the technical and sporting reasons that led him to accept the club's offer and join the team, as reported by Moroccan newspaper "Maghreb Foot" through sources close to the player regarding the details of his transfer during the current summer window.
The player stated: "Al Ahly is a big team and doesn't need an introduction. I am honored to join them, as this team competes for titles every season, and that is what I will strive for with them."
He confirmed: "Hossam Al Badry, the coach of Al Ahly, spoke to me and assured me that he relies on me a lot and convinced me with his project and the style of play he will adopt in the attacking line, which excited me even more to choose Al Ahly. I hope to meet everyone's expectations at Al Ahly."
He added: "Al Ahly is a great team and it is an honor for me to wear its colors. It is a club with a global reputation, and I will strive to honor my contract after joining. It is too early to talk about a return to Europe."
He stated: "I always aim to receive a call-up from the Algerian national team despite my absence from the World Cup recently, and I will strive to shine in this new experience to catch the attention of the Algeria national team's head coach in the near future."
