New Developments on Imam Ashour's Future with Al Ahly
Sports journalist Mamdouh Shawqi has announced updates regarding the future of Al Ahly player Imam Ashour, indicating that there is interest from a Turkish team to sign him. At the same time, the club's management is working to secure their star player and extend his contract with the team early.
Shawky explained on his YouTube channel that Turkish club Konyaspor has been in contact with Imam Ashour recently in a friendly manner to discuss the possibility of his transfer to the team. However, the player does not show much enthusiasm for pursuing a professional career in the Turkish league at this time.
Shawky revealed that the initial Turkish offer was valued at $3 million, with flexibility for an additional half a million. However, the Red administration has completely shut the door on these verbal moves, insisting on the arrival of official negotiation channels with astronomical figures that reflect the player's technical weight.
It was pointed out that official offers may arrive in the upcoming period, but this will remain linked to the player's desire to turn professional, a desire that does not seem strong at this time.
Regarding the contract renewal of Imam Ashour, Mahmoud Shawqi confirmed that the coming hours will see a meeting between the player and Sayed Abdel Hafiz, with the presence of Captain Wael Gomaa. It is possible that Essam El-Din Serag, the club's contracts manager, will also join to discuss extending his contract.
Al Ahly's management is racing against time to finalize player renewals before their training camp in Spain to ensure team stability. This includes offering the player a financial package that places him among the top earners, along with exceptional marketing and advertising benefits through the football company to capitalize on his star power.
