What Has Moataz Jamal Delivered for Zamalek After His Continuation?
Zamalek announced in an official statement on Tuesday evening that Moataz Gamal will remain as the head coach of the White Knights, granting him full authority to manage the team's affairs, along with providing all necessary requirements to assist him in continuing the success.
Ma'tamed Jamal took over as Zamalek's coach in January, leading the club in a total of 27 matches across all competitions, including the Egyptian Premier League, Egypt Cup, League Cup, and CAF Confederation Cup. He managed to secure victory in 16 matches, drew 4, and suffered 7 defeats.
Zamalek managed to score 39 goals and conceded 25 others during the tenure of Mo'tamed Gamal as head coach.
Mohamed Jamal led Zamalek to clinch the Egyptian Premier League title after a fierce competition with Al Ahly and Pyramids FC. He also succeeded in guiding the team to the final of the CAF Confederation Cup, where Zamalek lost to Algeria's CR Belouizdad on penalties.
Zamalek has exited the League Cup from the group stage under the management of Moataz Gamal, who oversaw only two matches for the team in the tournament against ZED and Al Masry.
Zamalek has been knocked out of the Egypt Cup by Moamen Soliman's Ceramica Cleopatra in the Round of 16, losing 2-1. The defeat marks a disappointing end to their campaign in the tournament.
