Dweidar Sends Message After John Edward's Departure

Ahmed Dewidar, former defender of Zamalek, expressed his sincere appreciation and thanks to John Edward, the former sporting director of the White Castle, following the latter's departure from his position at the club.

Dweidar wrote on his Facebook account: "Thank you, John Edward, for a special journey that ended too soon. I wished it could have lasted until the end; it was a successful experience by all standards, but what God has willed has happened."

He added: "I will always say that Zamalek will not stand on any one person. Zamalek is strong with its great fans, without a doubt. Everyone changes, but Zamalek remains."

The Zamalek Club Board, chaired by Captain Hussein Labib, has made several decisions regarding the football sector of the club as part of preparations for the new season. The decisions are as follows:

Firstly: The resignation of John Edward, the sporting director of Zamalek, has been accepted, with thanks directed to him for the period he spent within the White Castle, in appreciation of the efforts he made during his tenure. A ceremony will be held to honor him fittingly for what he has contributed to the club.

Secondly: Captain Moataz Jamal will remain as the head coach of the first football team, granted full authority to manage the team's affairs, with all necessary requirements provided to assist him in continuing his success, following his impressive experience last season and winning the league title.

Thirdly: It has been decided that the first team's training camp will commence next Friday, as part of the preparations for the new season.
