John Edward Resigns from Zamalek Amid Financial Disputes

Khaled El-Ghandour, a former star of Zamalek, has shed light on the surprising resignation of John Edward from his position as the club's sporting director. He pointed out that this departure was the result of a severe crisis and deep disagreements in viewpoints between Edward and the club's board members.

Al-Ghandouri stated in television remarks: "To be clear, John Edward is the one who submitted his resignation, and Zamalek has not paid the current players' dues, nor the league bonuses, nor the 25% of the upcoming dues."

He added: "The board told him we will give you 40 million pounds to manage, but this amount is not even enough for a quarter of what is needed, and in the end, he is the one facing the players."

The board of Zamalek Club, led by Captain Hussein Labib, has decided to accept the resignation of John Edward, the club's sporting director, expressing gratitude for the time he spent at the White Castle, in recognition of his efforts during his tenure, with a ceremony planned to honor his contributions to the club.
