Spanish forward Ferran Torres is preparing to make his final decision regarding his future at the start of August, as he continues to weigh the options of renewing his contract with Barcelona or embarking on a new adventure with Paris Saint-Germain during the summer transfer window.

According to Spanish newspaper "Sport," Torres will finalize his position as soon as he returns from his summer holiday. He will inform Barcelona's management of his final decision, whether to agree to extend his contract or choose to leave and join Paris Saint-Germain.

With just one year remaining on the Spanish forward's contract with the Catalan club, Paris Saint-Germain, the European champions, continue their attempts to persuade the player to join their ranks. His market value has been set at around €50 million.

If Ferran Torres decides to stay with Barcelona, signing a new contract will not mean it takes effect immediately, due to the restrictions imposed on the club under the financial fair play rules in La Liga.

The source added that the new contract, if agreed upon, will not come into effect until September, in accordance with La Liga's financial fair play regulations.
