Al-Zawraa Arrives in Cairo: Details Inside
Al-Zawraa's delegation set off early Wednesday morning to the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to hold an external training camp as part of their preparation plan for the upcoming season of the Iraqi Premier League, and to compete in the Gulf Clubs Champions League.
The departure of the "Nawras" saw the presence of all local players and foreign professionals, along with the entire technical and administrative staff, indicating the management and coaching staff's desire to start collective work early and make the most of the camp days.
Coach Bassem Qassem has requested to hold the training camp outside Iraq to provide a high concentration environment, and to play strong friendly matches that contribute to enhancing physical and technical readiness before entering local and continental competitions.
Al-Zawraa is set to play a series of friendly matches during their training camp in Egypt against various Egyptian clubs, aiming to test the new team composition and evaluate the levels of the recently joined professionals.
The coaching staff will also work on applying the tactical aspects specific to the Gulf Champions League, in which Al-Zawraa is participating this season, representing Iraqi football alongside clubs from the region.
Al-Zawraa's management is striving to create the best conditions for the team during this training camp, especially after the new signings made by the club this summer, in an effort to restore the "Nawras"'s shine both locally and in the Gulf.
