Roma Pushes to Secure Zaldúa Deal
Roma has entered into intensive negotiations with Real Betis to sign Moroccan international Abdel Samad Zalzouli during the summer transfer window, having prioritized him to strengthen the winger position after failing to secure other targets in the market.
Italian reports indicate that the player is admired by coach Gian Piero Gasperini, who sees him as the ideal option to strengthen the attacking system.
According to sources, Roma is set to make a bid that could reach €55 million plus €5 million in incentives and variables, which is close to the release clause in Zaldú's contract with Real Betis, set at €60 million.
Despite Sevilla's insistence on keeping their player, they may agree to a sale if an offer close to the release clause arrives, with several Premier League clubs still interested in his services.
If the deal goes through, Barcelona will be one of the biggest beneficiaries, as they retain 20% of the economic rights of the player from previous transactions with Real Betis, which could net them around €11 million from the transfer value.
Barcelona is closely monitoring transfer negotiations as it aims to strengthen its financial resources this window.
Abdul Samad Zalzouli prefers to continue his career in European football despite receiving offers from the Saudi league. Meanwhile, Roma is eager to finalize negotiations quickly, taking advantage of the player's desire for a new challenge, amidst ongoing competition that is less intense than some English clubs monitoring his situation without any official steps so far.
