Media: Al Ahly's Sponsorship Deal Solves Dollar Crisis Completely
Mohamed Al Mahmoudi confirmed that following Al Ahly's sponsorship deal, the club has completely resolved its dollar crisis, and is now capable of signing any player during the current period.
Al Mahmoudi stated in television remarks that Al Ahly has completely overcome its financial crisis after signing the new sponsorship deal, thanks to the substantial amounts received and the payment mechanism in place. He confirmed that this step has eliminated any shortage of hard currency "dollars" that the club faced previously or might encounter in the near future, noting that Al Ahly now possesses the capability and sufficient financial liquidity to easily and comfortably make any new signings they desire.
This follows the announcement by Al Ahly's Red Castle Company – the funding and executing body for the Al Ahly Stadium project – of a sponsorship contract with a telecommunications company granting naming rights for the stadium. This investment agreement is the largest of its kind in the Middle East and was signed during a grand celebration attended by Captain Mahmoud El Khatib, the club president, board members, several ministers, officials, and a host of sports and media personalities.
On the sidelines of the celebration, Al Ahly Football Club signed a new sponsorship agreement with the sponsoring company, which includes obtaining the rights to sponsor the first team's jersey for four years, in a deal that exceeds the value of the previous contract, reflecting the club's success in maximizing its investment resources and enhancing its income sources.
