Official: Al Ahly Signs Algerian Forward Mounsef to Boost Attack
Al Ahly has officially announced the signing of Algerian striker Mounsef Bakar from Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb, as part of the team's efforts to strengthen its squad during the summer transfer window in preparation for the new season, following several weeks of negotiations between all parties.
The deal came at the request of the coaching staff, who identified the need for an addition to the attacking line. This decision was influenced by the impressive levels the player showcased last season with Dinamo Zagreb, where he caught attention with his scoring abilities and movements inside the penalty area, making him one of Al Ahly's key targets in the summer transfer window.
Moncef is 25 years old and has previously represented clubs such as ES Sétif in Algeria, Istra in Croatia, and New York City FC in the USA, before moving to Dinamo Zagreb. He has also worn the jersey of the Algerian national team and is known for his ability to play as a central striker while excelling in multiple attacking positions.
Al Ahly fans hope that the decision will provide a strong addition to the team for the upcoming season, especially as the club looks to compete in all domestic and continental tournaments. Meanwhile, the management continues to bolster the squad with quality signings in preparation for the upcoming challenges.
