Real Madrid is close to finalizing the signing of Ivorian winger Yan Diomande, but the deal may pose a challenge for the club's squad list, according to "Mundo Deportivo."

The newspaper reported that Diemande's addition will raise the first team's player count to 26, following the signings of Marc Cucurella, Denzel Dumfries, Bernardo Silva, and Ibrahima Konaté. However, La Liga regulations only allow for the registration of 25 players.

Real Madrid must create space within their roster and cut down on salary expenses, as players tied to contracts with the club are resisting the idea of leaving before the new season kicks off.

Mundo Deportivo has reported that Eduardo Camavinga is holding on to his place despite being informed by coach José Mourinho that he will not receive playing minutes. Meanwhile, the club continues to seek a way out for Raúl Asensio without reaching an agreement.

The report indicated that Real Madrid's management is considering selling 50% of the economic rights of some players, a strategy the club used in the transfer of Fran García to Real Betis. This approach has previously been applied with Álvaro Rodríguez and Mario Gila.

The option to register players under the age of 23 with Real Madrid Castilla remains on the table, as was the case with Franco Mastanuntuno, to create space in the first team roster before the transfer window closes.
