Barcelona enters the final days of the summer transfer window focused on signing a central striker to replace the departing duo of Robert Lewandowski to Chicago Fire and Marcus Rashford after the end of his loan spell, as coach Hans Flick aims to maintain the team's attacking strength ahead of the new season.

Despite having several attacking options, including Ferran Torres and the possibility of using Dani Olmo as a false nine, along with new signings Karim Adeyemi and Anthony Gordon, the club's management believes that securing a specialized striker remains a top priority during the remaining period of the transfer window.

This comes after the team lost players who scored a combined 33 goals last season, making it essential to compensate for this scoring output.

Barcelona concluded last season with a remarkable total of 145 goals in all competitions, with Lamine Yamal topping the scoring chart with 24 goals. Following him were Raphinha and Ferran Torres, each netting 21 goals, while Robert Lewandowski scored 19 goals. Marcus Rashford contributed 14 goals, and Fermín López added 13 goals to the tally.

The club hopes that Adeyemi, who scored 10 goals with Borussia Dortmund, and Gordon, who netted 17 goals with Newcastle, can help compensate for part of the scoring absence.

Despite various attacking options, sporting director Deco continues to work on signing a number 9 striker capable of leading the front line, with the management committed to avoiding overpriced deals, hoping to finalize the right contract before the summer transfer window closes.
