Mbappe Sends Heartfelt Message to French Fans

French star Kylian Mbappé sent a heartfelt message to French fans just weeks after the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup, expressing his immense pride in what the national team achieved, despite not winning the title.

Mbappé said in his message: "Thank you all.. A month full of emotions, self-challenge, and pride in wearing the France shirt. Above all, a month of passion; the same passion that drives us on the pitch and brings us together with you in front of screens and in the stands. We lived together an unforgettable story."

He added: "We didn't return with the cup, and that hurts... It will hurt for some time, and I won't lie about that. I take pride in the Golden Boot, but it would have been much nicer if it had come with the World Cup. Perhaps we owed you a more beautiful ending, but we don't always choose the end of the story; we choose what we put into it, and we gave everything. That’s what we take pride in."

He added: "Thank you to my teammates, without their work, efforts, and team spirit, I wouldn't have been able to score this number of goals. This award is for all of us. I have dreamed since childhood of playing in the World Cup. I played in three editions, won one, and this year I had the honor of wearing the captain's armband for the national team, and I will never forget that."

He continued: "You stayed up for us, the stands were filled with you, and you stood by us at every moment. This story was written by millions of people, not just eleven players on the pitch. Thank you to Didier Deschamps, to all the coaching staff, and to everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this journey a success."
