Mostafa Shobair Named Best Goalkeeper at Der Gyst Awards

Al Ahly goalkeeper, Mustafa Shobeir, has won the Best Goalkeeper award in Egypt for the 2025-2026 season at the Der Giest Awards ceremony, attended by several current and former stars of Egyptian football.

Ahmed Shobair, the former star of Egyptian football, received the award on behalf of his son Mustafa, who was unable to attend due to his travel to Saudi Arabia for Umrah.

Mustafa Shobeir's crowning comes after a remarkable season with Al Ahly, where he caught the eye with his consistent performances across various competitions. He significantly contributed to the team's results.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper continued to impress on the international stage, having participated with the Egypt national team in the 2026 World Cup, contributing to the Pharaohs' historic achievement of reaching the Round of 16 for the first time in the team's World Cup history.
