Official: Duhok Announces Departure of Peter Georges

Duhok has officially announced the end of striker Peter Georges' journey with the team, following an agreement to mutually terminate the contract between the two parties, despite the deal running until the summer of 2027.

The decision came after intensive sessions between the club management and the player, culminating in a mutual understanding that allows both parties to embark on new directions, in a move described as beneficial for both the team and the player.

Reports indicate that Georges is nearing a transfer to the Egyptian league, as several clubs have entered negotiations to sign him during the current summer transfer window.

Al Ahly is among the clubs that have shown serious interest in the player, alongside Pyramids, who have included his name in their attacking targets.

However, current indicators lean towards the player’s closest destination being Ceramica Cleopatra, whose management has made significant progress in negotiations and hopes to finalize the deal in the coming days.

Peter Georges delivered an impressive season with Duhok in the Iraqi Premier League 2025-2026, where he managed to score 19 goals and provide 3 assists, making him one of the standout forwards in the competition and a key reason for the team's challenge for top positions.
