Akam Hashim's Future and Club Offers Revealed
Iraq defender Akam Hashim is currently in a state of confusion regarding his destination for the upcoming season, as he has entered serious negotiations with several Turkish clubs that have expressed interest in officially signing him.
Akram Hashim, 27, became a free agent on July 1 after his contract with Al-Zawraa expired. He is currently searching for a new destination that will provide him with the technical addition and continuity in participation, which will contribute to his development at both the local and international levels.
Sources have revealed that Hashim, after listening to professional offers from Turkey, has also decided to open the door for clubs interested in signing him from the Iraqi Premier League. Zakho FC has shown significant willingness to meet his financial demands, especially since the player enjoys great popularity in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
Sources have revealed: "Zakho's management has presented a financial offer for Akam Hashim amounting to 1 billion Iraqi dinars, equivalent to about 763,000 US dollars. This is a significant figure that the player has never received in his career with Iraqi league clubs, whether representing Erbil, Al-Shorta, or Al-Zawraa, so the player is considering the offer with serious interest as it is the highest among all local offers."
It was revealed: "While Akam was close to signing with Zahko, Arbil quickly entered the negotiations, benefiting from the good relationship it has with the player, especially since Hashim's rise to stardom began with them. Arbil confirmed its readiness to offer a slightly higher amount than Zahko's bid, turning the situation into an open auction for his services during the current summer transfer window."
Sources have confirmed: "The player is now in a dilemma, and at the same time hopes to receive a professional offer from abroad, as he had prioritized turning professional in the previous phase. However, he has recalculated after receiving massive financial offers from within Iraq, which has led him to temporarily retract his previous decision."
Hashim is still requesting more time to make his final decision, and he hopes to settle his future before August in order to join his new team for the pre-season training camp and reach peak readiness.
Hashem is considered one of the top defenders in Iraq in recent years, and the sports community is eagerly awaiting the final decision regarding the midfielder, with expectations that new developments in his transfer situation will emerge in the coming days.
