FIFA announced on Friday evening, July 24, a new penalty against Zamalek, which prohibits the club from registering players for three transfer windows.

It is worth noting that Zamalek has recently succeeded in resolving numerous external issues, after settling the dues of the assistants of former coach José Gomes, namely Luis Vicente, João Miguel, and André Pique.

Zamalek has successfully resolved the outstanding payments for Benin's Samson Akineola and former Swiss coach Christian Gross. The club has also settled the dues owed to Belgian club Charleroi regarding the transfer of Palestinian player Aadi Al-Dabbagh, alongside clearing the payments for Palestinian Omar Faraj, Tunisian Ahmed Al-Jafali, and Portuguese Jose Gomes. Additionally, Zamalek has concluded the case concerning the payments owed to Portuguese club Estrela da Amadora related to Angolan player Chico Panza.

The case of Yugoslav Lazic, the former goalkeeping coach, and Belgian Yannick Ferreira, the former head coach, has been resolved, alongside the issue of outstanding payments to Tunisian player Ferjani Sassi. Additionally, the club has settled debts owed to Nahdat Zemamra and resolved financial matters concerning French assistant coach Pierre Baherli, who worked under Ferreira. Payments related to the transfer of Moroccan player Mahmoud Bentayg to Saint-Étienne have also been addressed. Furthermore, the club has concluded a case involving Moroccan club Ittihad Tanger.

Despite these steps, Zamalek's name has returned to the list of clubs suspended from registration, awaiting clarification on the reasons for this new decision and the necessary procedures to lift it in the upcoming period.
