Bruno Fernandes Confirms Future with Manchester United as Renewal Talks Continue

Portuguese star Bruno Fernandes has settled his future with Manchester United, as reported by "The Sun," confirming the team's captain's desire to remain at Old Trafford despite rumors linking him with a summer exit.

The Sun added that Fernandes has entered the final year of his contract, with Manchester United holding the option to extend it for an additional 12 months, while negotiations between the two parties for a new deal are ongoing.

The player has a £56 million release clause, applicable only to clubs outside England, but Manchester United remain unconcerned. Club officials are confident about his future at Old Trafford.

Bruno Fernandes earns a weekly salary of around £375,000, equal to that of Marcus Rashford. He will return to team training in early August after his holiday following Portugal's participation in the 2026 World Cup.

The Sun reported that Saudi club Al Hilal attempted to sign the player last summer for £100 million, doubling his salary to £700,000 per week. However, Ruben Amorim convinced him to stay.
