Ter Stegen Nears Ajax Move as Barcelona Awaits Loan Decision

Marc Ter Stegen is close to completing a loan move to Ajax after making progress in negotiations regarding the final details that were delaying the deal.

According to "Mundo Deportivo," the German goalkeeper is still open to the counter offer made by Barcelona, with optimism surrounding an official announcement in the coming days.

Reports indicate that Marc-André ter Stegen will not travel with Barcelona's squad to the training camp in England, scheduled to start on Monday and continue until August 3, as his transfer situation nears resolution.

Meanwhile, the German goalkeeper continued his training normally under coach Hans Flick, while negotiations for his transfer to Ajax have reached an advanced stage.

Mundo Deportivo reports that Ajax will only bear a little over 10% of Marc-André ter Stegen's salary, who is under contract with Barcelona until 2028, after previously deferring part of his payments to help the club register new players.

If the agreement is signed before July 31, Ter Stegen will be able to join Ajax's squad for the third round of the Europa Conference League, with the team starting their Dutch league campaign on August 9.
