Spanish coach Pep Guardiola has made his decision regarding the Italian national team, rejecting the offer he received from the Italian Football Federation to take charge of the Azzurri in the upcoming period.

According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, Guardiola considered the offer over the past few days, but informed the Italian Football Federation of his decision not to take on the role, preferring to step away from coaching for now to focus on his family and take a break, with plans to return to the football world later.

This development follows statements from the Italian Football Federation's head coach, Paolo Maldini, who revealed earlier that the federation has contacted both Carlo Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola as part of their search for a new manager to lead the Italian national team in the upcoming phase, as part of a project to rebuild the team.

After Guardiola's apology, and with Carlo Ancelotti continuing to lead the Brazilian national team, the Italian Football Federation will continue to explore other options to determine the identity of the new head coach, in preparation for upcoming international commitments.

The Spanish coach had left his position at Manchester City this summer, after a journey filled with successes alongside the English club.
