Ancelotti's Stance on Italy National Team Job

Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti has settled the speculation surrounding his future by deciding to continue leading the Brazilian national team in the upcoming phase, with his sights set on competing for the Copa America 2028 title, and then guiding the "Seleção" in the 2030 World Cup.

This decision comes despite the recent doubts raised about his future, especially after the Brazilian national team exited in the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup following their defeat to Norway, a result that opened the door to many speculations about the possibility of his departure.

Meanwhile, the technical director of the Italian Football Federation, Paolo Maldini, revealed that the federation has reached out to both Carlo Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola to discuss the possibility of them taking over the coaching of the Italian national team in the upcoming phase, as part of the plan to rebuild the team.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Ancelotti does not intend to take charge of the Italian national team, as he is fully focused on his project with the Brazilian team. He aims to lead the squad to continental and global titles in the coming years, placing technical stability among his priorities.
