Fenerbahce Moves to Sign Leao, Meeting with Representatives Scheduled

Turkish club Fenerbahçe has intensified its efforts to sign Portuguese winger Rafael Leão from AC Milan during the summer transfer window, aiming to persuade him to embark on a new adventure outside of Serie A, despite the player's desire to remain in one of Europe's top leagues.

According to "Football Italia," citing "Calcio Mercato," a delegation of Fenerbahce officials will arrive in Milan in the coming days to meet with the lawyer representing Rafael Leão, to discuss the possibility of his transfer to the Turkish club, with an offer of an annual salary of €10 million.

The source indicated that the 27-year-old Portuguese player believes the time has come to end his journey with AC Milan after seven seasons, especially following the conclusion of the 2025/2026 season, which saw the team fail to qualify for the Champions League. This has made the desire for separation between the two parties seem mutual.

The report added that AC Milan values the sale of Leao at around €60 million, and they are open to the idea of a loan transfer with a clause requiring the new club to buy him later, should a permanent deal not be finalized this summer.

According to "Football Italia", Leao prefers to continue his career at the highest levels of European competition, specifically in the English or Spanish leagues, which makes convincing him to move to the Turkish league a complex task, despite the interest shown by both Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray.
