Roma Turns to Nusa After Losing Somerville and Greenwood Deals

Roma has begun to move swiftly in search of a new attacking winger, following the setbacks in the transfers of Cresencio Summerville and Mason Greenwood. Norwegian Antonio Nusa, the winger from RB Leipzig, has become the club's primary target during the summer transfer window.

According to Corriere dello Sport, sporting director Tony D'Amico has reopened communication channels with Nusa's representatives, who is admired by coach Gian Piero Gasperini. The 21-year-old player is seen as a potential signing that could provide a significant technical boost to the team, following his impressive performances with RB Leipzig and the Norway national team recently.

The newspaper reported that RB Leipzig is not willing to part with Nusa easily, as they are asking for no less than €55 million, a figure close to what Roma would have had to pay to sign Somerville before he was snatched up by an offer from Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal.

If the Nusa deal falls through, Roma has several other options in mind, most notably Benfica's Andreas Schjelderup and Ajax's Mika Godts. Meanwhile, Gasperini continues to push for reinforcements in the attacking line with more signings ahead of the new season.
