Official: Barcelona Signs Karim Adeyemi
Barcelona has officially announced the signing of German forward Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund, following a final agreement between the two clubs. The player has signed a contract that runs until the summer of 2031, as part of the club's efforts to strengthen their attacking line in preparation for the new season.
Barcelona has stated on its official website that Adiemi possesses a variety of attacking qualities, as he excels in playing on the wings and as a central striker. His great speed and effective use of his left foot provide coach Hans Flick with additional options in the forward line.
The Catalan club pointed out that the relationship between Flick and Adeyemi is not new, as the German coach was the one who gave the player his first cap for the German national team when Adeyemi was representing Red Bull Salzburg.
Barcelona stated that Adeyemi has gained substantial experience over the past four seasons with Borussia Dortmund, having established himself in the Bundesliga and the Champions League, where he played 48 matches in the continental competition, including two matches against Barcelona in the last edition.
The club has confirmed that the 24-year-old player joins the team with great ambition to continue developing under Flick's leadership and to contribute to the club's goals, after participating with the German national team in the World Cup qualifying matches, but not being included in the squad that competed in the finals.
Youssoufa Adeyemi begins his journey with Barcelona after spending the summer break and regaining his physical fitness, officially joining the team as the preparation for the new season kicks off, hoping to provide the expected attacking contribution in the Catalan club's colors.
