Barcelona continues to bolster its attacking line during the summer transfer window, as they are close to signing German striker Karim Adeyemi. This would mark the second attacking signing after Englishman Anthony Gordon, in line with coach Hans Flick's vision to increase offensive options.

Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" has reported that Adeyemi has completed his medical examinations in preparation for his transfer from Borussia Dortmund for €22 million, plus an additional €7 million in variables, following the signing of Gordon from Newcastle for €70 million and €10 million in incentives.

The newspaper reported that Flick has prioritized bolstering the forward line to enhance the team's attacking quality, with Barcelona's ongoing interest in signing a pure striker, led by Argentine Julian Alvarez.

The German coach hopes to lessen the dependence on individual solutions, particularly those provided by Lamine Yamal, by having more diverse attacking options that will help the team compete strongly in all competitions.

Gordon and Adeyemi boast impressive numbers, with the former scoring 17 goals and providing 5 assists for Newcastle, while the latter netted 10 goals and delivered 6 assists for Borussia Dortmund, alongside their remarkable speed and tactical flexibility to operate in multiple attacking positions.

Flick sees the addition of the duo as a way to increase his ability to rotate the lineup without affecting the attacking power, while also increasing pressure on opponents and providing diverse solutions throughout the season.
