Tension Rises Between Hansi Flick and Frenkie de Jong

Journalist Gerard Romero has revealed that the relationship between Barcelona coach Hansi Flick and midfielder Frenkie de Jong has reached a dead end, due to a dispute stemming from the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Atletico Madrid.

According to Romero, De Jong received medical clearance to participate, and Flick asked him to start the match and play for about 60 minutes. However, the player declined, justifying his position by saying: "I don't want to take the risk."

The report added that Flick has completely lost trust in the player and no longer relies on him in his tactical plans.

Romero also indicated that Barcelona has not yet conducted medical tests on De Jong's knee, with the possibility that the player may delay these tests in an attempt to pressure the club to facilitate his departure during the current transfer window.
