Reda Slim's High Salary Blocks Move from Al Ahly
Al Ahly SC continues to seek a suitable solution to determine the future of Moroccan player Reda Slim during the current summer transfer window. However, his high annual salary poses a barrier to completing any deal, despite interest from several clubs in acquiring his services following his return from loan.
Reports have revealed that Al Ahly has received more than one offer to sign the Moroccan winger. However, the player's annual salary, which stands at one million dollars, represents the biggest obstacle in the negotiations, especially since his contract with the Red Castle extends until the summer of 2027.
The report indicated that Al Ahly's management prioritizes selling the player to one of the Gulf clubs, and currently refuses to cover any part of his salary, after incurring nearly $700,000 in financial dues during his loan period to Royal Army Club.
In this context, the report stated that the Egyptian club also received offers from Libyan clubs, but the management decided to postpone any decisions due to their dissatisfaction with the financial value presented, while continuing to wait for an offer that aligns with their demands.
On the technical front, Reda Slim, the 26-year-old, delivered an impressive season with RS Berkane, participating in 38 matches across all competitions and contributing to 11 goals, scoring 6 and providing 5 assists.
Al Ahly is expected to finalize the player's situation in the coming days, ahead of the team's training camp in Spain, scheduled to start on August 6.
