Official: Manchester City Extends Phil Foden's Contract

Manchester City has officially announced the renewal of their English star Phil Foden's contract for an additional four years, keeping him with the team until the summer of 2030, continuing his journey with the club he joined at the age of nine.

Foden is one of the standout graduates of Manchester City's academy, making his first-team debut under Pep Guardiola in 2017. Since then, he has become one of the club's most important players, winning 20 titles, including 6 Premier League trophies, a Champions League title, as well as the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.

Phil Foden expressed his happiness at renewing his contract, confirming that staying with Manchester City means everything to him. "Playing for this club has always been my dream since childhood, and I am proud to wear this shirt. We have achieved historic accomplishments, but we are looking forward to winning more in the future."

The English player has shown his excitement to work once again under the guidance of coach Enzo Maresca, noting that his previous experience with him was special during the historic treble season.

Last season, Foden reached 100 goal contributions in the Premier League while wearing the Manchester City jersey, becoming only the sixth player in the club's history to achieve this feat. He also entered a select group of just 20 players who have scored over 100 goals for City during its more than 130-year history.

Hugo Vieira, the sporting director of the club, confirmed that everyone at Manchester City is proud of what Foden has achieved, emphasizing that he represents a successful model for academy graduates. He noted that Foden's development has not stopped despite reaching the age of 26, expressing confidence in the English star's ability to lead the new generation and achieve more success in the coming years.
