Ahmed Hassan, the former star of the Egyptian national team, announced via his official Facebook account the latest developments regarding Al Ahly's negotiations to sign Algerian striker Mounsef Bakar from Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb.

Hassan confirmed, according to his sources, that Algerian striker Mounsef Bakar has officially signed contracts to join Al Ahly. The signing took place in the presence of Essam Sarag, thus concluding a long round of negotiations.

The club's management is set to announce the deal officially next week. The player will represent a strong and important addition to the team's attacking line as they prepare for the new football season.

Reports have confirmed that Spanish club Getafe is interested in signing Bakar, as the club has recently entered negotiations to acquire the Algerian star.

Getafe has offered Monsef a contract lasting three seasons, with the possibility of extending it for a fourth year, for an annual salary of up to €1.2 million, in an effort to persuade him to embark on a professional career in La Liga.

The report indicated that the player still prefers a move to Al Ahly, despite the enticing financial offer from Getafe. He had previously rejected another offer from a Turkish club, as he awaits a resolution regarding his future in the coming days.
