Laporta Confirms Presentation Date for Adeyemi as New Barcelona Player
Joan Laporta, the president of Barcelona, has confirmed that German striker Karim Adeyemi will be officially presented as a new player for the team tomorrow, Wednesday, ending the fans' anticipation for the official announcement of the deal.
Joan Laporta returned to Barcelona on Tuesday morning after his trip to the United States, where he attended the 2026 World Cup final and participated in several institutional and commercial meetings. Upon arriving at El Prat Airport, he offered brief statements due to fatigue, but confirmed the presentation date for Adeyemi, stating: "It will be tomorrow."
Mundo Deportivo reported that Karim Adeyemi arrived in Barcelona last Thursday, before undergoing medical tests on Friday. However, the official announcement of the deal has been postponed until the return of Laporta and sporting director Deco to the city.
Barcelona's president refused to comment on other names linked to the club during the summer transfer window, particularly Argentine Julian Alvarez, focusing instead on the presentation date for Ademey.
Joan Laporta expressed his pride in what Barcelona players have achieved with their national teams in the 2026 World Cup, confirming his happiness with eight of the club's players winning the championship.
Barcelona's president concluded his remarks by stating: "I am very proud that eight Barcelona players have become world champions."
