Official: Benfica Signs John Duran

Benfica has officially announced the signing of Colombian striker John Duran on loan from Al Nassr until the end of the season, with the contract including a clause that grants the Portuguese club the right to purchase the player for a fee of around €30 million.

Duran, 22, was officially presented in a ceremony attended by club president Rui Costa, with the total cost of the deal for Benfica amounting to around €6.1 million, including the loan fee and financial obligations related to the transfer.

The Colombian forward expressed his happiness at joining the team, stating in his first comments on the club's official channel: "I came to the biggest club in Portugal," and he shared his excitement to start his journey in the "Eagles" jersey.

Benfica hopes that Duran will provide a strong addition to their attack during the new season, given the player's significant potential. The club retains the option to convert the loan into a permanent transfer at the end of the season if he meets the expected performance levels.
