Aston Villa a Potential Destination to Rescue Milan's Summer Transfer Plans

AC Milan is looking to sell Portuguese winger Rafael Leão during the summer transfer window, aiming to finance new signings that will support the team's future plans, amid interest from Aston Villa as a potential destination for the player.

According to Italian newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport," AC Milan's management needs to offload Leão to provide the necessary financial support to sign Greek talent and playmaker Karitsas from Genk, especially after the club spent nearly €100 million on Gonçalo Ramos and Mario Gila.

The 27-year-old Portuguese forward has confirmed his desire to leave San Siro at the end of May. Despite having a release clause of €175 million, the Italian newspaper has reported that a €50 million offer could be sufficient to convince the Rossoneri to sell.

Despite inquiries from Barcelona and Manchester United regarding the player's situation without any official offers, Leão completely rules out a move to the Turkish league or the Saudi Pro League, as he hopes to receive an offer from one of the top five European leagues, specifically the Premier League.

Aston Villa's management has the financial resources needed after selling Youri Tielemans and Morgan Rogers, but the completion of the deal depends on the vision of coach Unai Emery and the player's own approval. It is worth noting that both clubs are already engaged in further discussions to finalize the transfer of left-back Pervis Estupiñán to the English team.
