Zamalek Moves to Resolve AIK Stockholm Financial Dispute

According to Al-Ahram, Zamalek officials have begun official moves to open channels of communication and serious negotiations with the management of AIK Stockholm in the coming days, aiming to reach a final agreement to resolve the international financial penalty imposed on the White Castle by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

Zamalek has received a ruling confirming AIK Stockholm's right to receive $1.1 million, which is to be paid in the upcoming period.

The financial penalty comes as a result of Zamalek's failure to pay the due amount for the transfer of Palestinian international striker Omar Farag, who joined the club during the summer transfer window of 2024 before leaving the team later on. This has led the Swedish club to escalate the matter to international authorities to recover their overdue payments.

This issue presents Zamalek's management with a new financial challenge that requires quick and decisive action, as the club's fans are eager for successful negotiations to end the financial dispute and establish administrative stability that ensures the team's full focus on sporting competitions, away from the corridors of international courts.
