Barcelona Eyes Al Hilal's Stance to Finalize Cancelo Deal

Barcelona continues its efforts to finalize a permanent deal for Joao Cancelo, as the Portuguese full-back has become one of the main targets for coach Hans Flick and the sporting management during the summer transfer window.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Sport", João Cancelo wishes to continue with Barcelona, despite being under contract with Al Hilal until the summer of 2027, while the Catalan club is keen on completing the deal.

On the other hand, Al Hilal does not intend to let the player go easily, despite being out of coach Simone Inzaghi's plans, especially since they paid around €25 million to sign him two years ago.

The newspaper added that Barcelona is handling the negotiations calmly, convinced that the Cancelo deal requires patience, while remaining optimistic about the possibility of reaching an agreement.

The report also confirmed that Al Hilal has not yet received any official offers from Barcelona or any other club, and is awaiting Cancelo's return from his vacation after the World Cup.

Barcelona hopes to secure the transfer for less than €10 million, taking advantage of the player's contract nearing its end and his strained relationship with Inzaghi. The coming weeks will be crucial in determining his future.
